I like the image comparison, but methinks that a 100mm refractor will do the same thing. Don't forget, a Canon T-adapted to a refractor will do what you're showing us here PJ.

Eeeeh! No. I don't think so Seanie, not by a long stretch. Sure you'll get the same focal length and F ratio, but thats not all there is to it. Also when was the last time you priced an 8.5" APO ? Also the camera lens will always outperform the equivalent telescope for photography. (I smell an open can of worms) :) .
