What's a good all rounder filter to bring out detail at the eyepiece for galaxies/nebulas or does such a thing exist??
I had a look at telesope service but wasn't sure
Any suggestions welcome

Joanna --
The best all-arounder for nebulae is a narrow-band, branded variously as a UHC or UltraBlock.
There isn't really a "best" for galaxies. Those that work at all show a very subtle improvement on *some* targets, and actually look worse on others.
There's a great in-depth article by David Knisely on Cloudy Nights here .
Cheers,
-- Jeff.

Out of all these filters, the UHC is the most versatile of the lot in that you'll be able to use it on the most objects.
