After one look at this planet any visitor from outer space would say; "I WANT TO SEE THE MANAGER".

Hi Frank
It’s certainly a good time to purchase astro gear with the USD so weak against the Euro. With all this gear Frank your bringing back does this mean we are in for another miserable summer? Any chance of sneaking a 14†OTA into your hand luggage for me?
Clear skies
Mike

Believe me...
I've thought about it!!!
Actually, the Pound is weak also right now and I was looking at
the Astrotrac site.
They have a deal at the moment for a 'starter pack'
It actually works out cheaper to buy it off them in the UK rather
than in the US.
(plus you have full warranty backup)
It's kinda frustrating,
I want to take the opportunity to pick up some gear for a good price.
But I'm not really thinking about it for the scope I have right now
(ETX-125)
I'm not to concerned with eyepieces and the like...
If I see some at value I'll pick them up otherwise I'll
wait until I get a new scope and buy off Astromart.
It's the bigish awkward stuff I am thinking about that
might get caught coming thru customes
I want to bring back if I can.
Let me put it another way....
Total weight going out is not gonna equal whats coming back!

Well holy God.
What can I say except
kid in a candy store doesn't even cut it!
Out of the many stores in NY I checked out, 2 stood out.
B&H was mental busy and hard work to get around. (massive place!)
I probably picked the wrong day to check them out
being pretty much dead on my feet after Paddy's day!
It's very impressive place and the prices are pretty good.
Adorama is great and the assistants are very helpful.
It's the kind of place you can haggle and get a good deal on stuff.
You really would want to have a list going into these places as
there is so much stuff you can easily forget what you went in there
for in the first place!
I picked up some great bargains there.
Out of the two I'd have to say Adorama may not have as much
as B&H but the service is better and the prices are great.
