I am using Skymap pro V11 by Chris Marriot.
Whilst this is a good program and drives my LX200 scope well, There has been no significant development of the software for the last three years. I know that other programs have features that Skymap lacks.....

I wonder if the are better programs out-there and if any of our members have idea's or suggestions in this matter. Input welcom!

Hi Jouke, like most things there are pros and cons, is there any updates to Sky Map pro forthcoming as far as you know? I have no experience with SkyMap Pro since I use “TheSky6” serious astronomer edition by Software Bisque which I purchased for 79 USD. TheSky6 Serious Astronomer edition is more than adequate for my needs and I am still learning my way through this excellent software.
There are three different versions of TheSky6, “Student”, “Serious Astronomer” and “Professional”. Your LX200 telescope is supported by The Sky6.
The following link will give you an excellent overview and FAQ of The Sky6. Of course many people will have their own preferences, needs and goals that is required from their planetarium software running under different OS platforms and computer capabilities. Hope this helps!
