As someone said on a thread about this on CloudyNights.....There is a reason this isn't called the UL but instead the UC (Ultra Compact)

It looks like its not really trivial transporting this thing on an aircraft, given that point, it has lost its biggest point for me.
I suppose its big plus is that you can transport it in almost any car, not every car can transport the conventional model.
It isn't a disaster, the mods you have to make to it are not major.

The primary housing alone is 60 pounds, and because of the size, the centre of gravity and weight is way outside where you can hold it.
Try holding 60 pounds, but not with your arms under it, but stretched out instead, Frank, and then reaching in to place it in the mount several feet further in the car....without overbalancing.
Ouch.
It's not a one person operation...it'd mean an operation for one person, though!
