camera thread was created by mlkcampion
Hey
what type of thread is used to hold most cameras or lenses to their tripods? Is it a standard thread? Basically i want to get my hand on a few bolts that will screw into the thread so that i can mount my 350D onto different dovetail plates? Anyone know where i could get these?
Cheers
Mike

It's imperial: 1/4-20
i.e. 1/4 inch in diameter, 20 threads per inch.
A decent hardware store will have it.
