LXD75 and PHD was created by tony h
Hi
Is any one using PHD to autoguide their LXD75 mount?
I’m having problems doing so, I have downloaded all the
relevant Ascom drivers and I still cannot get PHD to recognise
Autostar.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Hi Dave
Thanks for the reply.
Yes I have no problem moving scope using Crates du ciel, Meade software and Starry Night V5.
From what I have read this software sounds the biz, just LXD75 Mount, Meade cable 505, laptop/PC and Ascom software/drivers and away you go, or so they say. I think it might be the Ascom software I downloaded. I downloaded the latest version Platform V5 and it maybe Version 4.1 that works the Meade Pulse guiding. I was hoping someone here was using it, as there seems to be a lot of LXD75 users out there.

Hi Tony

I think I have managed to solve the problem as it was also happening on my lx90 also.

You need to go onto the stark labs site and load down the upgraded meade ascom driver.

There is a bug that apparently disabled pulse guiding and this driver fixes it.

You need to then replace the existing ascom drivers that are in C:\Program Files\Common Files\ASCOM\Telescope. Rename the old ones (Meade Driver.dll and MeadeEx Driver.exe) as "old" so you can put hem back if necessary.

Then go into properties and tick the box for pulse guide. It should then work.

Just in case you haven't worked it out already yourself :)

So I finally got to try out my camera attached to my Skylux with my recently acquired T Mount.

However, much to my disappointment, I was unable to focus on the Moon. Set up was 40D>>T Mount>>Adapter>>Skylux. Am I missing something glaringly obvious?

I was trying it out the other day, and was unable to focus on a nearby mast. But, I was able to focus on telephone wires and bushes, between me and the mast.

Hi,
I have an LXD 75 and also had alot of trouble with it.

In the case of focusing with a camera, I remove the ring on the focuser and attach the t-ring then. When you remove the eyepeice ring, remove the ring underneath that.

HTH.
