I think you're right!
I went out with a Dutch bird some years ago, and she told me the same thing. Lidl and Aldi are Dutch/German companies, and most of their stock is made there.

My cousin lives in Germany and she told me that both Aldi & Lidl is owned by two bothers who had a fall out one owns Aldi, the other Lidl she said there family fall out is that bad that no matter where an Aldi store opens a Lidl is not too far behind which I guess is why they sell similar stuff too..
I heard the same. Similar story to Puma and Adidas. . . . now if Bill Gates had a brother into "a bit of software" as well???
