Mind me asking how much should I expect to pay for a Manfrotto tripod?

How much would you expect ot pay?
In this day and age (and specifically in this country) that could turn out to be how long is a piece of string...............
I can only speak from personal experience but Manfrotto 055A with a 390-RC head set me back €225.00 (& that can carry up to 6kgs) in Ireland ..... But by shopping around I am sure you could get one cheaper............

Here's a link to B&H's Manfrotto range:
www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home...&A=search&Q=&ci=5138
And this is the one I bought:
www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home...Q=&sku=284763&is=REG
Looking at the specs again I see my tripod is rated for 5Kg. Cool

Speaking of tripods and mounts, I decided to remove the tube, rings and counterweight off the equatorial mount for my 4.5" reflector. I now have just the camera on the eq. head. However, to mount the camera I have to use a screwdriver to screw on the camera. Is there an easier way of doing this without needing a screwdriver?

You'll be wanting something like this:
www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.ph...id=&products_id=8450
You can screw this onto your scope as it has treaded hole on the bottom (not visable in the linked photo).
It's likely to be found in one of the camera shops in Dublin if you don't want to get it online.
