Hey there
I had been tinkering with the idea of a longer focal length refractor for lunar and planetary work, but the length and weight of a 6" put me off, I don't want to lie on the ground to look high overhead. I considered a 120mm Skywatcher f/8, but then thought was it worth the outlay for 7mm less in aperture and 1.55 extra focal length? I decided that it wasn't, so while I was ordering a scope case I ordered a Baader semi-apo filter from Patrick at TS. It has recieved good reviews on the web. I know that it will not turn my €500 achro into a €5000 apo and I'll report on the performance when I take collection.
Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.
