Astronomik Filters was created by ConanMcDonnell
Hey, I have just ordered two Astronomik filters an O III and their CLS light pollution filter.

I paid €210 for the pair.
I have read great reviews versus the Lumicon filters.

Has anyone used these before or have any insight on them...?

I have a Skywatcher 8" Newt on EQ5 mount.

In Rainy Limerick,
Conan.

Hi Conan,
I have an O3 filter although its not an astronomics one. It should prove to be very nice for the veil nebula and other various nebulae, is it a 2" filter ?
As for the CLS, I don't know, I dont have one.

Conan, I have the Astronomik CLS filter that fits inside my DSLR for photography, it really cuts down on all that nasty orange light, however if you are using it for visual, that 8 inches will help !

Dave, i got the 1.25". will this limit the brightness more so than the 2"...?

Kieth, i'm not quite ready for astrophotography yet although i'm itching to get started.

I have street lights on both sides of the garden and i can't say i haven't been tempted to take a bb gun to them both.: angry:

nope, it just means its confined to 1.25 inch eyepieces.
