Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better programs, and the universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the universe is winning.

Hi all
Not sure if this is the correct forum for this topic, but here goes.
With the winter observing season about to fall on us, yes I know it felt like it the past few months, but it was really summer, anyhow. I am considering investing in a pair of ski pants, remembering the cold legs from last year, and I'm wondering how many other observers wear them and if they are worth the investment. I think they are.
Let me know.

I bought an excellent pair of snowboarding pants in TK Max about 3 years ago
and have found them invaluable on cold nights.
If I recall they were only about 50 euro too.

I've been meaning to get these over the years but never got around to it.

Imminent house move in the next few weeks will necesitate emptying wardrobes and attic etc. Hopefull that I may find my old Salopettes and ski jacket in a black sack buried somewhere

I got ski pants a few years ago (for a trip to see the Alaska Aurora) and they worked great at below -20 deg C.
I would not normally wear them here, even in winter, as I would find them too warm,

I had a pair of long johns once (remember those?) but lost them years ago. Brilliant for the cold nights. Now I just wear cottom tracksuit bottoms under my outer leg garment (usually cord trousers). I don't know of any place near Tullamore that would sell ski pants.
