Anyone got any Kydex/ABS plastic for DewLightshied

I'll be fabricating a dew/lightshield for my 16" Lightbridge.
It'll be permanently attached to my UTA.
I'll be flocking it.
It'll extend the UTA by about 12 inches but I'll need about 16inches wide.
It'll be full circumference of the UTA, not just a piece opposite the focusser.
It'll thus need to be about 60+ inches long
It'll need to be a light material.

So....

Any got any .4 or .6 mmm Kydex (.02 probably isn't stiff enough) or black abs plastic in the lengths I mentioned. I'll pay. Or does anyone know where to get some easily?

Camping bed foam sheet - only cost approx 10euro - works a treat!

Your dead right Michael. I made one from camping foam and silver gaffer tape only a couple of weeks ago. Sure beats paying €50

I had a kydex shield I used for my 12" but its now on the 20" as a glare guard for the top of the UTA.
To be honest, I cant determine if it makes any difference but I suppose it cant do any harm.

What I did find is that a light shroud for the truss helps to darken the FOV a little. I'd spend the money on one of these before the light guard.

Haven't done any serious observing with the Lightbridge yet just 2x 15 minute sessions testing a few bits out like the Orion Intelliscope mod. What I did find is an orange halo around the FOV from the streetlights, There was light reflecting off the trusses, off the white endrings, off the grey interior of the mirror tub, on the focusser which is so close to the top of the UTA. I knew all that anyway and had planned to paint it, flock it and lightshield it and shroud it etc before I even got the scope but the Orange halo really drove the point home that night.

Its probably questionable whether any of this makes a difference at a dark site but believe me it makes a big difference under less than perfect light conditions.

So where did you get the kydex Dave?

As for the camp bed foam. Just so happens I am off to 53ºN and North Face on Saturday to purchase some new ski gear so I guess they might have some of this foam. Sounds light but is it stifff enough not to sag into the lightpath. Remember I am talking about a 19in Diameter 60in Circumferance tube of it. Can it be painted and flocked?

Sorry Dave, you mean a premade Astrozap type dew shield for your 12in SCT? Used one of them designed for a 12in SCT for my 12in Orion Dob for the same purpose as this. Unfortunately the Astrozap 16in Meade SCT dewshield doesn't quite have the circumferance for my purposes this time.
