Adjustable viewing chair was created by Nephin
Hi everyone.
Not sure if this is in the right section or not.
I find that my back begins to ache if I'm observing for a while. Do any of you use or would recommend an adjustable chair or stool? I've been looking around but can't find any chair that you can adjust the height.
Thanks.

I think John O Mahony got one in a hardware store?

Hi,
A number of years back I bought an ironing chair, it has an adjustable height seat, perfect for viewing with my auld SCT, never saw any ironing action though.

I use a drummer's stool with my portable setup, but something with even a short back provides more support.
Here's a picture of my rolling observatory chair -- even that short 9 or 10" back helps considerably.
Cheers,
-- Jeff.

The ironing chair is a good idea.
I was thinking about a drummers stool but as you say a bit of a back support would be better.

I use a Brabender ? ironing chair that I bought from Atlantic Homecare. It cost €50. It works very well and folds away taking up very little space in the boot of the car.
