From initial examination of the pictures it looked like this was going to be an easier fit in cars than the XX12i because Orion have made the trusses longer and the mirror tub shorter in this 14" size and the base also looks to be about 6 inches shorter than the smaller XX12's base. Guess what, its even more portable than that!! They've copied the 1stBase designs and made this base tool-lessly dismantlable with captive knobs. ie You can flat pack transport the base!! This thing will probably fit in the boot of a saloon car never mind a hatchback with the seats folded down. 14" of apeture, DSC and being able to transport 4 passengers in the car too!!
