A neat device, but it doesnt say how many amp hours it is.

It's 7ah .
I bought one the other day for powering fan's etc.
What I like is the 12v pole terminal's in the back that you can connect thing's to with bare wire..very handy. It's very compact aswell.

It would easily drive an LX3 or LX10 drive motor for quite some time or a smaller goto mount.

Definitely, any small or low power motor system would be ok with this.

Dave, would you think it would run the LX200R 10" for 6 hours?

If its 7 Amp Hour capacity as stated earlier by Joner then you divide that by the current drawn by your scope and that gives how many hours you should get out of it.

If your scope draws 1 amp peak (e.g when slewing) then you should get 7 hours slewing here, there and everywhere without interruption.

When tracking it should draw less than peak - so you get longer.

I don't know what your scope draws but it would have to draw 7/6 = 1.17 amps or more, averaged throughout your session, to make this tank run out in less than six hours. I suspect that your scope draws less than this but if you find its ampage written anywhere you can work out quite accurately what to expect. If you run anything else of it (eg dew heaters) at the same time then you have to add ampage drawn there to that of your scope to calculate what to expect.

Hope that helps.

Mark

7ah is the maximum under ideal conditions.
Our usual cold winter night would reduce that and as the thing ages the battery will also loose some of its ability to fully charge.
It'll probabily run a LX200 for the night along with a dew heater.
Its usually better for a battery if you dont deeply discharge it.
The more deeply you discharge it, the more you shorten its working lifespan.
