Drift Align was created by mlkcampion
Hey
Tried some PE measurements with EQAlign. The bitmap shows the
results. The obvious thing here is the drift in the RA and DEC axis. I was expecting this i had only roughly polar aligned with the polar scope. If i am reading it right though it shows on the RA (blue) axis a drift of about 220Arcsecs over about 25minutes. I thought this looked quite bad so on the next night tried my hand with drift aligning. I let the software run for about 10mins after which it gave me the adjustments to make (2 circles that the star needed to be placed in). It was next to impossible to make the adjustments that the software was asking for. A slight turn of the alt-az bolts fire the star across the screen.
Is the drift i recorded bad? I have no real judge on the units or figures. I plan to give it ago again, would just like some perspective on what is possible or typical.

Thanks
Mike
