New Coronado Scope was created by michaeloconnell
Coronado are bringing out a new scope to tackle the other end of the spectrum. It's a 70mm which covers the 393.4nm wavelength - CaK (Calcium K).

However, I have heard reports on various other forums that this frequency is difficult for some people to see - especially older people. Apparently, as you get older, the lens in your eye has difficluty letting in blue and violet light. How true this is I don't know. Anyone here able to clarify this??

However, to be fair to Coroando, I did note in their ad that they reckon imaging will be it's main purpose. Would be interesting to try one as I've seen some amazing images taken by them. No images are on the Coronado website at the moment, although this will probably soon change.

Clear skies,
