Hi Michael,
Did you get the light pollution meter installed?
Have you seen any correlation between the fireball events and peaks in the lp data?
I noticed while working on a new computer for mine tonight that the code can be changed to sample at around 30 samples per second. I haven't checked the consistency of this rate with the standard 1 per second; or whether the normal rate is averaged. That might produce interesting results for meteors.
Cheers,
~Al

I will give that a give that a go Al.
Btw, have you successfully calibrated your light pollution sensor?

Nope, I never heard back from Gunter et. al. about that.
I was speaking Brian Espey earlier in the year and he suggested that we take measurements from evening to night time with both these sensors and the SQM. This would allow us to build up a calibration based on the SQM's which are calibrated.
That doesn't take temperature into account. I'll need to get back to Brian to see if we can do a better calibration, and whether the sensor in TCD is calibrated.

How did you get the lightmeter to take readings at 30 samples per sec?

I can get it to take readings at that rate, but I haven't that rate in use at the moment due to the amount of data it produces.
The relationship to counts and SQM readings should be about -2.5log10(counts)+30. The 30 in that equation is a guess, a best fit of the sqm and lightmeter data is needed to get the value for your sensor. I'm having a little trouble calibrating mine; partly due to me using an SQL-L I think; sky brightness at twilight is more complicated than I thought it was.
