Has anyone any experience with these filters? I believe they are made by Thousand Oaks.
With the weaker US dollar and the very strong AU $, astro stuff has gotten much cheaper here recently.

It gives a nice natural yellow sun image at the eyepiece and is fairly robust.
I have one here for the 12" and it gives great images of the sun.

Just popped around to my local Bintel store and picked one up. Its set up in the garden now. Nice yellow sun. I may need to stop it down a bit as its hard to reach a sharp focus.

Was it the one in Camberwell?
I bought my brother a scope from there while I was over in December.

My local is the Camberwell store. Nice friendly place and good deals at the moment with the strong Aussie dollar. I've been to the Sydney store also which is equally good.
