Revolutionary Telescope Design Announced Today

Just announced today, it is called the Skylight Subzero Refractor featuring a 6" F/15 objective.
This would make a lovely grab 'n go.
It features the following:
Using the latest isotope fractionation process, our state-of-the-art objectives comprise a high refractive index deuterium oxide ‘crown’ element mated lower refractive index tritium oxide ‘flint’.The NICO objective has a photometrically measured light transmission of 99.99% without coatings! To create this wondrous product, we have imported only the purest ice from 50 meters above Lake Vostok, Russia and have had it ground & hand-finished into the finest 6"/f15 optics available today. Guaranteed 1/900 wave p-t-v, with a maximum chromatic error of 0.0000000000006% from across the visible spectrum from 450 to 700nm.
To keep the objective intact, it must be kept cold. With this in mind, we have invested heavily in a new, hi-tech cell employing liquid nitrogen 'veins' that circulate round the unit. At a temperature of approximately 67K, this keeps the crystalline NICO objective perfectly stable. And our proprietary anti-fog coatings ensure the objective never dews up.
Comes with a few drawbacks though:
* Under no circumstances should dew heater strips be used.
* The Skylight Subzero is not suitable for solar viewing.
* Must be kept in a refrigerated locker when not in use (this is included).
* As the tube conducts the extreme cold generated by the cell, protective gloves must be worn at all times when handling or focusing the telescope.

Had I known you were on the lookout for such a thing, I would have mentioned the new Baader cloud filter I received last month. Really works wonders and the price is too good to be true.
Sh*t, now I can be doing work 30-31 days per month. I should be through the complete NGC catalog in a couple of months (max).
Anthony.

The fact that tritium is radioactive suggests another possible application of this new telescope design. If you hold your head up close to the objective (taking care to avoid cold burns of course) and take an image, it will function as a type of X-ray machine, and you should be able to see if your brain is working properly!
