Vixen alternative to Astrotrac was created by michaeloconnell
Reports are coming from NEAF of Vixen launching an alternative to the Astrotrac.
I'll keep you posted.

I am amazed it took soooo long and that Meade or Celestron did not get in on the act.

Sometimes the bigger telescope companys
just stay away from specialist things.
Astrotrac does one thing only but it does it
very, very well.
It'll be intresting to see the Vixen version.

I saw Astrotracs going on Astro B&S for well below the RRP, coupled with their reputed 15kg limit it seemed too good to be true.
Has anyone bought or tried using one?

I bought one off that site about a year ago. Haven't used it all that much but it's pretty impressive. I wouldn't try 15 KG on it though just in case
