I think that when you buy a telescope the first thing you should look at is where are you going to use it?If its a city with quite a bit of light pollution then GOTO is the way to go.Its not that easy to learn the sky when you cant see the stars...if its outside then a dob is the way to go.

I'm not going to claim to be any kind of expert here so feel free to correct me but adding a goto at the cost of aperture surely isn't a good trade off. I will admit that finding those wee fuzzies in the city is a bit more work when you're doing it manually but it's very satisfying and with more aperture you'll see more detail.

Also, when you get your scope out into the sticks the views will be wunderbar.

Im living in Arklow so the skys are good enough, Half the fun for me would be learning the sky myself & whats where rather then hitting a button & it appearing in the scope. Im leaning towards the omni 150 even though I know a dob would be better im thinking of how much space a dob would take up in the house
