Hubble Optics have announced a series of ultra-light folding dobsonians:

Prices are very good.
Well worth considering if you are looking for a portable dob.

Looks like at bargain at only $1100 US. I'd be tempted with the strong aussie dollar at the moment. I can import up to $1000 duty free. Wonder if the optics are any good (dodgy mirrors?):silly:

I've heard that if the optics aren't up to scratch they'll send out a highly-trained 7 person team to do a fix.

UL14F 14" Ultra Light Folding Dob (Structure Only)

It comes without optics. You will need an ultra thin mirror for this, and those are hard to find.

Uses a F4.6 mirror, thats abit unusual, they must have a supplier for those.
