Weather Station was created by michaeloconnell
Having looked at a number of water stations on the market, I decided to purchase the AAG Cloudwatcher.

I didn't bother with the anemometer.
Easy to install and I have it set to output charts via ftp.

FWIW, the unit outputs the charts to the observatory pc.
From there, i use the program Syncback to upload the charts to the ftp folder every 10 mins.
Charts are very small, only 3kb each.
Aside from charts, the unit also includes a relay cable for automatic opening and closing of the observatory.

Hi Michael,
That price gives the Boltwood a run for its money.
I have never been satisfied with the Boltwood One as to it's accuracy.
Do you find the AAG accurate? ie.does it open the slit when it is definitely clear?

Eamonn,
At present I don;'t have it connected to the dome fore two reasons,
1. I am still installing the automation system in the dome;
2. I want to see how well this weather unit performs.
For the past few weeks, I have been keeping ma close eye on the weather and the output from the unit.
So far, I am surprised at how accurate it is.

Just a follow-up post re the weather sensor.
I've had it over a year now and it''s been working great.
Works well with ACP.
