There's a 130eg for 200 (asking) in Galway. I think maybe you could and should get it for less than that
I had a 114 tasco, had great optics and I loved it - but was quite limited. I paid something like 40 pounds secondhand.
I also recommend 130mm as a minimum.

Hi jhenry436,
My advice? It you think you've got around £200 to play around with (that equates to around €250+/-), then you could also think about getting a 150mm to 200mm second hand Dobsonian, with eyepieces, for that price. A 200mm is pretty powerful stuff compared to your 114EQ. That way, you will easily get that extra detail that a smaller reflector misses.
You'll hold onto it a lot longer than your 114EQ too!
Seanie.

I've found a skywatcher explorer 130p for £145 on
www.acecameras.co.uk/asp/web/recorprod/1.../PT_ID/1/product.asp
I'll probably get this one ,so I'm just putting this site out there for anyone else thinking if buying
