Might be a bit late but Lidl had Bresser 8x60 Binoculars available from last Thursday for €40. I bought a pair over the weekend and got to give them a spin tonight.
On first impression they feel a little light and flimsy. However after just a few minutes scanning the sky, I realised that their lightness is an asset for astronomy. The lens are Bk7 glass and as such deliver crisp bright images. Focus adjustment is good and I was able to focus quickly and easily for both eyes. This evening the sky was mostly clear but a lot of high cirrus cloud persisted so I was never going to get top class views. At a glance M13 was obvious with some resolution around the edges. Star colour was very obvious.
Yes overall I'd say I was very pleased. For 40 quid for. pair of 8x60, I would highly recommend these to anyone particularly those beginning in astronomy. S if you hurry, there just might be some left in your local store. There were about 5pairs left in the Malahide Road store on Sunday
