Glad to hear that NASA got the best bang for their buck ... while shooting for the stars.
This may be a longshot but I wonder if they can find married couples qualified to be astronauts ....
Thats already happened actually, the first married couple were aboard the Shuttle mission STS-47, that was in 1992.

The couple in question (Mark Lee and Jan Davis) weren't married when they were selected for STS-47 - they got together during training, and got married on the QT. When NASA found out, they threatened to ground one or both, until both Lee and Davis pointed out that since they were only just married, they had no children and anyone to support, so in reality, no-one else would be affected if the flight went awry. Both flew without a problem....
