NASA announces names for post-Shuttle boosters was created by BrianOHalloran
Rumoured for months, but the Crew Launch Vehicle will be named the Ares I while the heavy launch vehicle will be called the Ares V - both named in honour of their Saturn forefathers. Formal announcement due at 7:30pm Irish time today.

Ares was the Greek god of War (Roman version was Mars). He was the son of Zeus (Roman: Jupiter). He was not descended from Saturn.(Just being nerdy!)
