Magnificent Desolation was created by BrianOHalloran
After getting Jack Schmitt's autograph, we went to watch the 3D IMAX film on the Apollo landings 'Magnificent Desolation' - it was absolutely superb, especially the landing and exploation of Hadley Rille! Tom Hanks did a fantastic job - a real space nut, if ever there was one.
Has this been released back in Ireland/the UK yet?

Do we have an IMAX theater anywhere?
The IMAX film of the Mars Rovers is apparently also very good.

It closed up about 4 years ago. Shame really, although the disappointing thing was that prior to that, the same 4 movies (T-Rex, Deep Blue (I think), and 2 others), were there as the only movies for the preceeding 2 years...

I was at the one in Dublin a number of years ago, I didnt know it was closed down, a pity. In fairness they brought it on them selves by showing not so interesting movies there, although the 3D effect was great.
