It’s the 17th anniversary of the Hubble space telescope which was launched on April 24th 1990 and released from the Shuttle bay of Discovery two days later.
In recognition of the mighty Hubble Space Telescope I would like to salute this wonderful piece of technology and offer gratitude to the many people in ESA and NASA in bringing it to fruition.
Many wonderfully illustrated books appeared on astronomy bookshelves because of this space based telescope which in addition added new discoveries and knowledge for us about the amazing universe we live in.
