Hi,

For a country (Great Britian) that has a great tradition of astronautics as well as some cutting edge research centres (e.g. the OU), successive British Governments have shown little if any interest in 'space'.

There is not even a British ESA astronaut.

I'll be in Heathrow on Sunday and I'd like my onward journey to be the one that I have a ticket for! My pockets have useless Sterling too - its got Ulster Bank printed on it - try spending that in London!

weather conditions in the UK.......................

The UK is unsuitable, not because of the weather, but because it is too far from the equator.

I don't think jibes of this nature towards the British (or any particular nationality) really belong on these boards. Its pretty offensive...

To whom?
"Being offensive" is the new "blasphemy" of the 21st century..
