I was totally blown away by the detail in this image of Saturn's moon Encleadus. This challenging photograph was taken by Cassini on Monday last August 11th.
The spacecraft took a series of images and flew at its closest approach to within 30 miles of the surface of this moon at 40,000 miles per hour ( as one does
)

Next Encleadus flyby October 9th 2008 coming at closest approach to within 16 miles of the surface - a very close encounter indeed.!!!
