I just had a look at heavans above and the ISS is down as -3.3 Mag tonight @ 21.25!!
Has it ever been this bright before??

Thats is remarkably bright for sure, but not bright enough to be seen through clouds though.
From here its 73 degrees high at maximum and that's very high, there are other passes over the next week that have similar max altitudes so giving similar magnitudes.
If only it was not cloudy....

Thanks for the heads-up Graham. The ISS average (as you can see from Heavens Above) is always in the minus figures (the 'more' minus, the brighter!). In fact, if you go back to July, from my location it reached c. -3.4 a couple times in one week. In recent years, its apparent brightness has increased as the build continues and more modules and sections have been added.
With a few more pieces still to be added, it will get a little bit brighter again...
