Within the framework of the Mars500 programme, the European Space Agency (ESA) initiates a call for candidates to participate in a 520 day-long isolation and confinement study. ESA is looking for 2 European candidates and 2 back-up candidates for the study. The training for the study will start towards the beginning of 2010, the isolation and confinement study itself will commence around May 2010. Serious applicants are asked to fill out an application form, which can be obtained by download from:

I think they are looking for volunteers with an engineering, medical or computer background.

520 days is a LONG time! and I dont think that includes prep and training!

oh and you will be spending 30 days on Mars before the return trip! oh and you dont actually leave the ground....all takes place in Moscow!!
