And another reported something similar achieved in Spain about six months ago

I would have thought that you'd have a long way to go to retrieve your equipment - with a huge risk that it will end up in the sea.
Of course technically they're nowhere near space (whats the definition 100 miles or 100km or something...) But they are impressive shots.
