there is a excellent new 297-page book called "The Art of RAW Conversion - Optimal image quality from Photoshop CS2 and leading RAW conveters" published May 2005 by Steinmuller Photo. It's only available as a printable e-book from the publishers at

- cost $39.95. Full details of contents (complete Index) on the web site. Quite a lot of printing so I'm just reading the book onscreen.
It's in Adobe PDF, nicely laid out, fully bookmarked, contains lots of colour images, screenshots etc and useful hyperlinks to navigate to other sections of the book.
I'm sure this e-book would be equally useful to CS owners. There is also another printed book for CS available from
