Latin translater was created by Bill_H
I have the translator plug-in for Firefox. It's great, doesn't have sort out a lot of my translation problems for me. I don't think I could do without it. However, I really need a good simple-to-use translator for greek and Latin, anyone know where I could find such? Unfortunately the Firfox one doesn't do these two languages.

Hi Bill,
Babelfish handles a lot of languages, including Greek.
Unfortunately no Latin ..........not enough demand i would imagine

Thanks Kieran. I have Babblefish on my website, but I think at the end of the Day, Latin is probably the more important.
Strange, but even today Latin is depended on so much for so many things, but they have stopped teaching it and not even on the web can I find translations or dictionaries! Wish i hadn't ignored it at school
Bill.

Another tip....if you're looking for definitions of commmonly used Latin terms google can probably help
just type :define and then the word you want and it will search for definitions......should work for most latin terms used in science etc.
example search below
:define quid pro quo
www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&...+quo&btnG=Search
Not sure if this is what you are looking for or do you want to translate whole latin novels!?

Not a translator but a handy Latin phrasebook:
