registax and wine was created by albertw
No im not starting a christmas carol!
wine is a windows emulator for Linux. I was wondering if anyone here has had any success in getting apps like registax to run under wine? I've spent the last few hours trying to get it working but I still cant manage to open the avi files without it grashing
granted I am using an old version of wine and and old version of registax which may explain my problems, but I was wondering if anyone else has had any success with this. In case I am trying to do the impossible
Cheers,
~Al

Someone on sci.astro.amateur just posted that they got Iris working under Wine;
www.astrosurf.com/buil/us/iris/iris.htm
(Nice enough program to work under Wine on Linux.)
