I've put togther a free Astronomy Toolbar that will add a toolbar into Internet Explorer or Firefox with the following functions:

- Check out the prices on various astronomy equipment and accessories
- Search Google for whatever you want from within the toolbar (search histories increased to 25 in V1.2)
- Highlight your search terms on the results pages that are returned
- Connect to various news sources for the latest astronomy and space news
- Software Resources
- Equipment Reviews
- Weather Information
- Audio & Video Resources (14 new resources added in V1.3)
- 25 Astronomy Podcast Resources (6 new podcasts added in V1.2 & V1.3 incl. NASA & ESA)
- Astronomy Shopping Resources
- The latest news headline displayed in the toolbar

There's no Spyware, Adware or other Malware included with the toolbar.

You can get it here: www.nightskyobserver.com/AstronomyToolbar

Gary,

Just as the download completed, my AV software detected an ADWARE. Maybe i have to adjust the settings on my AV? I am using Avast AV software.

Regards,
Ray

I'm not familiar with Avast AV. Many anti-virus, anti-adware and anti-spyware apps have been run (on different PCs) to check that no such malware is buried in the code (a 3rd-party tool was used to build the toolbar) and it's come up clean on all of them. Are you trying to install the IE version or the one for Firefox?

I have a problem with the ie version.

When I switch it off to make space so my daughter can play a game on the BBC site, and I then put that game to full screen it comes up with an error and forces me to shut down IE

If I leave it there everything works fine.

By "swtiching off" do you mean unticking the toolbar for display in IE under the View/Toolbars menu? Do you have any other toolbars installed? What's the URL for the BBC game (I want to see if I can replicate the problem)?
