monthly sky notes feed was created by ftodonoghue
Hi all
Anybody know where If there is such a thing as a monthly skynotes feed. Something similar to the universe today headlines feed which is on KAC home page.
ideally it should have sky charts for mid northern latitude observers, main events for the month and whats happening with the planets.
or I was thinking of linking/embedding a site that provides that information within KAC's site using frames...
Anybody got any ideas/suggestions.

Oooh, I'd say you'll be hard done by there to get a good free service for such a thing Trevor. I've looked before to do something similar with the TAS site, but all there is are a few (alright quality) feeds for things like the phase of the Moon, ISS position etc, but no star charts.

hi Trevor,
you could always put a link to the www.skymaps.com web site for the charts. They always have a 2-page pdf with a very attractive sky chart for the month that you can download. The only thing you have to do then is embed the sky notes from "Arcturus" . . . I can revise them if you wish to do them monthly and modify a few of the more technical terms (i.e., maybe providing a link to a glossary of terms).
drop me a line if the above sounds do-able.

Hi John
I have looked at the skymaps pdf already and have it in mind. ideally though I would like it all on the one web page. Thanks for your offer with the arcturus skynotes...I might just use them..Will have to put a bit more thought into this I think.
