Seems that seti@home has finally transitioned to boinc. setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/transition.php

I stopped beta testing boinc a couple of months ago on Solaris. Then it was certainly not capable of being seriously used, so I hope things have improved a lot since then.

Cheers,

The IFAS team, now with all of us at zero credit

setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/team_display.php?teamid=39697

It will be a bit of time before I can use some decent computers on it since 1) there is still a bug with the solaris client despite me raising it months ago and 2) there is no solaris x86 support. bah!

Cheers,

If there's an OS X version (that works better than the Solaris one that is!) I can run it on the VTIE server and on my desk top.

There is one for mac. And there should be a decent one for solaris before long (the SETI@Sun team are busily working on it!).

The first of my credits have come through so the IFAS team is now off the mark!

IMHO it has not improved enough to have been released. Hopefully the sudden interest will spur the folks in Berkley to sort it out.
