MaxIm ver 5 was created by JohnONeill
Hi,
I notice that version 5 of MaxIm is out.
Is there any user of this expensive program on these boards?
Do the improvements make it worth having (I am not a user), particularly for DSLR. Covington (in his recent DSLR book) mentions some things that could be improved in ver 4.
Any comments?
John

John,
As luck would have it, I was on the Cyanogen website last night and also noticed the new version.
What I can suggest is that you take them up on their offer of being able to download a fully-functional copy and which will work for 30 days. Since your weather is bad and which will impact your full evaluation and assessment ( ), you should easily be able to get a further 30-day extension.

PS. With an eclipse this weekend, here is a chance to put the software through its paces (ex. scripting the desired exposures for the digital SLR).
