Hi Michael -
Thanks for the comments! Feedback is always welcome.
Just a few points:
* Yes, I plan on adding the Ecliptic pretty soon.
* I'm surprised AutoTilt didn't work. Could you explain in which way it didn't work?
* You can get extra information on the current selected object (v1.6 and later). Tapping an object to select it is surprisingly non-trivial, as the program needs to map the 2D screen back into the 3D 'universe', which is why I've been holding off. It'll happen though!
* Lunar phase could definitely add a month +/- button.
I'll definitely add your list of suggestions to my pile of feature ideas.. Happy to say the pile is growing higher and higher as more users provide their feedback.
John

What was supposed to happen? Was it to simply rotate the program when you rotate the device - like in the photos or Safari?
Michael.

AutoTilt uses the iPhone's built-in accelerometer to determine the angle which you are holding the device.
So if you hold it right on in front of you, perpendicular to the horizon, and then lean back, moving your arm up, thus tilting the phone's display, the view will change.
If you have an iPhone 3GS, you can move left and right too, and the view updates in that axis as well.

Mike,
sometimes you have to turn it on in the settings.
Obvious I know and you probably have done it but
just checking.

Ah yes that works fine for me now. I had rotated every which way except over my head!
