M16 Eagle Nebula - Wide Field. was created by Kinch
On Monday night last I tried out a new reducer (QE 0.73X) on my scope - spent quite some time finding focus but then was absolutely delighted :woohoo: with this result. Here is just one 30 mins shot of M16 (Eagle Nebula) - I have done nothing to it other than a slight stretch and convert to JPEG. This is with Astronomik 6nm Ha filter. Looking forward to lots more time with this combination. (Scope : Tak FSQ106ED, Reducer: Tak QE0.73X, Camera: Atik 460EX).

That is one fine image Kinch, and a solitary 30 minute image too? Wow...

Wow! That is a quite superb shot, one of the highlights of the nightsky. Doesn't it remind you a bit of the shape of the Orion Nebula?

Thanks for the comments guys - I was delighted, as I said, that 1 x 30 min shot got so much......then again it is Ha 6nm that brings out the 'stuff'.

My previous one of this subject is at... www.flickr.com/photos/kinch-astro/11357546265/
(Cannot remember if I had that one up before on this site). For further info these shots are from south east Spain where I am lucky to be right now......so hope to have some more with this set-up in the coming weeks).

That's class great processing and detail. Those FSQ's are a great scope, I got my first look at a Tak TSA-120 today what a beast it is. Well done again on the image.
