That's a very distinctive lime-green band. Haven't seen that before. You caught quite a few cloud bands there actually. Very nice!
I *think* you might also just about got the Encke Minima (as opposed to the Encke Division) as well. If you play with the brightness and contrast a little it might become a little more apparent.

Whoa Nelly! That's a great image .. how we gonna believe the seeing was 'crap' :lol:
The image is pretty big, what's the optical train? And did you resample in Registax or is that the native scale?

Dave,
that is one of the best images of Saturn by an amateur I've seen in a long time! One note though, with your extra high gain, have we a bright "bubble" on the center equatorial belt? Sunshine over-brightened a tad?
Still, it is worth framing! Super shot!

certainly way more belts visible there then I've seen before.
I took an image there on sunday and I thought mine was fine
until I saw this :oops:
