Got this last Saturday night (20 Sept)
Probably the last view this year of the southern milky way.

First time seeing the sky from Ballycotton (along cliff walk) Sky is fairly dark. Some sky glow on the west from Cork city.

Thanks everyone :-) I think I was very lucky to get this shot before this part of the sky sets into the west for another year.

Something weird though.....
I took a series of 30sec exposures and the next 2 after this one show some sort of smoky cloud after the meteor.
I'm guessing its dust after the meteor, blowing in the upper atmosphere.
Will try to enhance them a bit and post an update in the next couple of days.
