On 2nd Jan I managed to get in 8 hours on Rosette Nebula (a second attempt for me). Subs of SII, Ha & OIII, each Bin 1x1, 1200 seconds each sub.. Total 24 subs = 8 Hours.

Worth having a look at the higher resolution on Flickr:

Nice one Brendan. Plenty of detail and a good FOV. What scope and camera did you use?

Hi John,

I use a Takahashi FSQ106ED scope on a Takahashi EM200 mount. The camera is an ATIK 460EX. (Use a QHY 5II as a guide camera on a Tak FS60CB scope).

Brendan.

Thanks very much John. It helps that I have the gear in Spain and I get a lot more clear skies here than Ireland......though am away from the scope for very long periods sometimes. There is a picture of my present set-up in Simon's thread...... TOPIC: NGC281 - Pacman Nebula in Hydrogen Alpha
