I have been reprocessing old shots taken back in 2010 (yawn :whistle: yes, I need new data).
This is the original shot of the horsehead nebula taken with a Canon 450D, processed using GIMP on a laptop screen.

Here is a crop around the nebula. Look at all that dust and murk I missed the first time.

You can see just how much more detail can be pulled out of the original data, such as the background dust and finer structure in the nebula. Again, never throw out your old data !
