I only managed to capture 2 x 15 Minutes (Ha 12nm) subs before the clouds rolled in. Pity - I think it may be an interesting subject for some long exposure time.
Only put it up now because it will be over a month before I get back to my scope - unsure when I will get to finish this.
I was shooting very close to the moon (on the 1st Feb) and had great difficulty with settling the guide input - so even at only 30 minutes it could be better.
NGC 2174 (also known as Monkey Head Nebula) is an H II emission nebula located in the constellation Orion and is associated with the open star cluster NGC 2175. It is thought to be located about 6,400 light-years away from Earth.

Very nice results at just 30mn exposure! Maybe you can keep and add to it at later date?

Thanks Yohan. I also got a couple of SII subs and one OII - so for sure I will work on these in the near future. I spent earlier in the night trying to capture another subject - so sorry now I did not start with this one and get more time in on it.......but I initially stayed away from this part of the sky as it was very close to the moon. That was not a big problem for the narrow band filters but it is extremely hard to get the guiding to work smoothly.
